Hi! My name is Katie Shannon, a certified Let's Play Music, Sound Beginnings and Presto teacher located in La Porte, Indiana. I am married to my Land Surveyor husband, Stephen, and homeschool my four young children ages 11 and under.

While there are over 400 teachers nationwide, I am one of 4 Let's Play Music teachers in the state of Indiana! I am so honored to teach children through this program. I know that it is just as much a blessing in my life as it is in theirs!
 

When I first learned about Let's Play Music back in March of 2013, it was truly an answered prayer for me. I had been running a private piano studio of over 30 students in their homes but knew I wouldn't be able to travel and teach all of these beautiful kids privately once our family grew! Let's Play Music allows me to impact so many more beautiful little lives than I ever would have been able to through private lessons...and LPM offers so much MORE!

 

My husband and I moved to La Porte in Spring 2016, where my studio started with 15 LPM students.  It rapidly grew to over 100 students between the 3 programs!  We outgrew my home, and I am blessed to rent a space for our studio in downtown La Porte.  From 2022-2025, my friend Mrs. Meg Eddy joined my studio to teach Sound Beginnings also.  We love her and miss her presence in the studio!
