Jungle Journey

May 12th to July 8th 2026

8-12 children with their caregivers.
Each SUMMER session is 8 weeks long -

Classes are once per week for a total of 8 classes.

Tuesdays 6:15-6:45pm Central

Wednesdays 9:15-9:45am Central

Wednesdays 10-10:30am Central

Tuesday 6:15pm class dates: May 12th, 19th, 26th, June 2nd, June 16th, 23rd, June 30th, July 7th (no class June 9th)
 

Wednesday class dates: May 13th, 20th, 27th, June 3rd, 15th, 24th, July 1st, July 8th (no class June 10th)

Note - unregistered children will NOT be allowed to attend class, so please make arrangements for your school-age children once they are on summer break.

Materials (purchase online at registration):

Session Set: $27.99 workbook, digital album and semester instrument

Sibling Set: $17.99 workbook and semester instrument

$2.99 shipping/handling fee

​​Tuition:

 $100 for first child per semester.

 $40 for each additional sibling per semester.

​

Deposits of $35 for the first child and $15 per sibling are due by March 31st, 2026 to hold your child's spot in class.  The deposits are non-refundable and are put directly toward tuition.  Remaining tuition of $65 first child, $25 per sibling will be due at Lesson 1.

No tuition is collected during the online registration process.  Deposits must be submitted separately to Katie via cash, check, paypal or venmo by March 31st to solidify your child's spot.

Registration opens February 28th at 8:00am Central:
 

1. To register for Sound Beginnings Jungle Journey and purchase your students' materials: CLICK HERE
    

2. On your preferred class time, click "Enroll" and log in with the username and password from last time.  It is important to use the same login information, as the music privileges are linked to the Let's Play Music digital downloads app through your email address.
    

3. If required, Mrs. Katie's enrollment ID is 38729.
    

4. You'll then go through the steps to register and purchase materials.  
    

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Materials are shipped to Mrs. Katie so that she can do inventory and add the class calendar.

• All siblings ages 12 months and older MUST have their own workbook and instrument.

• All children, including newborns, who will be in attendance at class MUST be listed on the class roster.  Babies are free for the semester in which they are born; after that, the sibling tuition applies.

The Jungle Journey semester description

This semester highlights many preschool concepts/skills, including

• the Jungle

• songs across cultures

• animals

• the body

We also study musical concepts such as

• the major scale

• keeping a steady beat

• loud & soft

• up & down

• high & low

• fast & slow

• rhythmic subdivision

• solfege names &
 hand signs

• singing in tune

• classical music listening

• accompaniment
 with bells

• instrument families

• vocal play

 

As in all SB semesters, we also cover

• letter names & sounds

• concepts about print

• tracking left to right

• exposure to ASL alphabet

• colors

• counting to 10

• identifying name sequencing

• listening to a story sung aloud

• sharing and taking turns

• parent/child bonding

• sibling bonding

• imaginative play & creativity listening

• group interaction and teamwork.

 

Sound Beginnings teaches these concepts by incorporating Literacy and Kindergarten Skills, Fine Motor Skills, Gross Motor Skills, Rhythm and Beat, Vocal and Pitch Development and Parent Bonding (how your child learns best!).

 

Summer classes meet once a week for 8 weeks. Classes are 30 minutes in length.  Caregivers attend with their child every week.
