Tuition: $90 per month for 9 months of instruction = $810 for the year

A $90 non-refundable deposit is required by March 31st to secure your child’s spot.  This is put directly toward the tuition balance so that $720 will remain when classes start.  The remaining balance of $720 can be paid in full on Summer Review Lesson 1, or in five (5) monthly installments of $144 due on Summer Review Lesson 1, and Fall Semester Lessons 1, 5, 9 and 13.  If you decide to pull your registration from Bridge prior to classes starting, the $90 deposit will be retained.

1st Year was $60/mo, 2nd Year $70/mo, 3rd Year $80/mo.  Barring unforeseen circumstances, $90/mo will be the same for your child for all future upper levels as well -- it will not continue increasing each year.  As always, if tuition is the only obstacle to your child participating in the program, please reach out to me.

What is the Let's Play Music Bridge Course?
Let's Play Music Bridge is an additional year of instruction available to Let's Play Music Graduates. The Bridge course will reinforce concepts and skills learned in Let's Play Music while progressing with additional instruction and skills needed for success in the students' piano and music education going forward. The small group setting (up to 5 students per class) is an engaging, fun and familiar setting for Let's Play Music students, and a complete musicianship focus continues to build a well-rounded depth of music education unparalleled by any other program.

--Graduates of the Bridge program travel a variety of musical roads upon graduation!  Many students choose to continue on to Trot, which is an optional 5th Year of Let's Play Music that Mrs. Katie offers (she has optional 6th and 7th years also!).  Others choose to continue lessons with another private teacher, try a different instrument, or take a break from music for the time being.  Students who are able to keep up with the work of 3rd Year will also do well in Bridge and beyond.

Why is Bridge helpful?
Let's Play Music students have an amazing foundation, but much that has been gained may be minimized or lost without the proper teacher who understands where they are in their studies. Their next teacher should know how to communicate with them and apply this musical foundation and knowledge. This Bridge course will help the children build on their excellent foundation and bridge any private piano communication gap so they can transition smoothly into private piano lessons or any other music lessons they might be interested in. Let's Play Music graduates are perfectly primed to excel in their piano studies and the Bridge course will help them succeed!

The Curriculum
The Let's Play Music Bridge curriculum has been carefully crafted to solidify skills learned across the three years of Let's Play Music. The students will have the opportunity to reinforce the many newly introduced concepts and skills learned in the 3rd Year of Let's Play Music, such as numerical counting and rhythm skills up to sixteenth notes, scales and chord skills in varying keys, composer and classical music knowledge, composition skills, accompaniment styles, key signatures, time signatures, note names and staff placement, music theory and sight reading skills just to name a few. All of these concepts will be reviewed and expanded on throughout this important year of musical transition. They will be taught about the new yellow chord (the V7 chord) along with many other important concepts, skills, symbols and labels that will help ensure that their abilities don't get 'lost in translation' as they progress. Both individual instruction and engaging group instruction are important in their progression. Classes will be held in small groups of 3-6 students and will include segments of individual instruction time as necessary. Bridge teachers will have the ability to customize assignments and selections of repertoire as needed to create a learning environment that is ideal for each student throughout the school year.

Ordering the Bridge Materials - to do in May

To do during the month of May, as LPM usually has a sale on Bridge books during that month.

Bridge materials are purchased on the Let's Play Music general storefront INSTEAD of the registration process you use for Sound Beginnings or Let's Play Music.

Bridge materials will ship to you, and unlike when registering for LPM, I do not receive a notification when you purchase them as the LPM Store is not connected to my teacher account.  So please let me know when you have purchased them!  Your student will bring all the books and flashcards to the first summer review class so that I can prep them for the year ahead.
